If you get a slot series right, it can become mega-popular, and that's the case with the Blitz range courtesy of leading developers Playtech. So far, there have been several releases, including Diamon Blitz and Rhino Blitz, and now Playtech are literally dipping their toe into the water to bring us Shark Blitz. We find ourselves saying a lot of similar stuff where symbols are concerned, but as you will expect, we get royal cards 9, 10, J, Q, K and A as the lower-paying icons in the selection. Of course, the symbols related to the theme are worth more, including tuna, turtles, and jellyfish. The top-paying icon is the great white shark, which we imagine will not surprise many. A combination of them can be potentially worth 150x the bet, which isn’t bad.

Where better to start this section than by talking up the wild symbol. On the reels, it will appear as a diamond, and in typical fashion, it will act as a substitute for other regular icons to make forming winning combinations easier.

Most punters spin the reels of online slots to access the free spins feature because it can prove incredibly lucrative if the right symbols come into view.
